GFAR Mission Statement
The mission of the Great Falls Association of REALTORS ® is to help members succeed in business by providing programs and services to achieve the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. GFAR advocates for housing opportunities and is the public’s voice in protecting property rights.
Great Falls had the first real estate board in the State of Montana. The National Real Estate Journal dated August 15, 1910, carries this news item:
"At a meeting of the real estate dealers of Great Falls, Montana, on July 23, the organization of the Real Estate Exchange of Great Falls was formally perfected with the election of......officers. The exchange will shortly open at an office where all property listed with the local dealers will be registered. It is hoped that by the establishment of the exchange that both the dealer as well as the purchaser will be protected from any fraud."
The National Real Estate Journal dated February 15, 1913 news item:
"In the Palm room of the Hotel Rainbow, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m., the majority of the members of the Great Falls Real Estate Exchange met at a luncheon at which quite a number of short addresses were made relating to real estate conditions and to various plans for the upbuilding of the city."
